A labor of love in Sandia Park, New Mexico.

My love affair with New Mexico reached peak swoon when some dear clients asked to photograph their Sandia Park residence, a labor of love they’ve spent 50 years hand-crafting.

Whitney DeVoto Photography operates on the occupied territories of the Cheyenne, Ute and 48+ contemporary Indigenous Tribes and Nations who live and travel throughout Colorado. 3% of every shoot or image license is contributed to Spirit of the Sun— an Indigenous, women-led nonprofit serving Native/BIPOC communities in Colorado through a variety of youth programming, land stewardship and food access offerings. Spirit of the Sun’s mission is to work in partnership with Native American communities in urban areas and on reservations to boost the resilience of Native people, especially youth and young adults.
