environmental portraiture

Capturing the true soul and raw talent of what you do best.

Environmental portraiture, or brand photography within your natural environment (workshop, studio, home, etc.), authentically captures the essence of you and your work and helps clients connect with you and your brand on a deeper, human level.

My approach to environmental portraiture is unique in that I focus on capturing the heart and soul that goes into your trade - you in your flow state, doing what you do best.

Serving Boulder and the surrounding Colorado communities, reach out to create imagery that authentically reflects you and your work. Examples of portrait sessions crafted in meaningful spaces can be explored below.

You can also learn more about the power of environmental portraits for creatives and makers from my field notes.

  • I approach environmental portraiture with a deep appreciation for the stories that unfold within the spaces where people create, build and express their artistic talent. Before each session, I take time to understand your work, your process and the environment that shapes your craft. This intentional preparation allows me to create imagery that feels grounded, personal and reflective of both you and your work.

During the session, I’ll focus on observing natural moments and subtle details— how you move within your space, how light interacts with tools or materials and the visual cues that represent your identity and creative voice. No posing, no pressure— my calm, unobtrusive presence helps clients feel at ease, resulting in portraits that feel honest and connected rather than staged or performative.

These portraits serve as meaningful visual assets for websites, portfolios, marketing materials and brand storytelling.

“The pictures were exactly what we wanted and even better than we expected! Her relaxed style made it easy to feel comfortable with her and open up to the camera. 10/10 recommend working with her.”
